"I do not think there are enough words or time for my husband and I to express our sincere gratitude to Adam for his time and his work on putting pen to paper and helping us create our dream home. Adam brought experience to the table we weren't aware we needed. His time and attention to detail is so impressive - from his sketches on the path of the sun in the mountains where our house is going to placed to each draft of the interior and exterior of the home as it came to fruition. He is available, professional, gifted and now considered a friend of our family."
Jacqueline and Brian, Client, EM 18 Residence
"We've been fortunate to have built several houses that Adam designed. It's always a pleasure to collaborate on projects with Adam and our customers have always been thrilled with the final product. When it was time to build a home for my own family Adam was the architect my wife and I chose to help us design it–I couldn't think of a higher compliment."
Tarn Dickerson, President, Sustainable Building Solutions, Inc.
"Adam worked extensively with us in the design and construction of our residence, a home filled with considerable customization that required both creative input and extreme attention to detail. Adam delivered in both areas, and despite being hundreds of miles away provided ample support on the construction side as well. In addition to his creativity and attention to detail, he demonstrated both unwavering patience and a keen willingness to listen. All of which were crucial in helping us achieve a final product that we all can be proud of. We would highly recommend Adam."

You’ve got questions, we have answers.

CRAFT doesn’t espouse a particular design style. We believe the design of a project is rooted in the client’s vision and we do our best to develop and manifest the vision. We enjoy the opportunity to work in various styles and project scales.
The duration of the design process varies greatly with the size, scale and complexity of the project. Six to twelve months is a realistic time frame for most projects. Project schedule is something we discuss early in the process. Permitting in Steamboat Springs typically takes four to five weeks.
Yes, we often have clients who are not local. We have a lot of experience running the design process while clients are remote, as well as being involved in the construction phase on the owners behalf.
We have experience working with many of the local contractors and can offer advice on who is the right fit for your project. We recommend interviewing two to four contractors to learn about their company structure, how their fee works and what their schedule would be for your project. We can aid in the interview process and assist in evaluating contractors.
We work with independent, local engineers who serve as consultants to CRAFT. While we don’t have engineers on staff, the engineering firms become part of our team of consultants, who work under CRAFT and bill us for their work. They are contracted through us, so that you do not have to worry about additional consulting contracts.
Yes, we do commercial and institutional projects, including office, retail, healthcare clinics and school projects.

Tell us about your project.

Our first meeting is a discovery session so we can get to know the goals and vision for your project. It’s helpful for us to understand the scope and desired programming for the project so we can begin to develop our thought process under your terms. We will review our approach to the design process including our typical fee structure.
